We have a wide range of standard Critical Orifice (sonic orifice) styles and flows to suit your diluting application. Critical Orifice styles for use with your in-situ and out-of-stack diluting sample probes, inertial filter diluting probes, laboratory diluters and more.

Standard Materials include Glass, Quartz and Monel®. Standard Max. Temperatures up to 750°F (400°C), High Temperature Critical Orifices (Sonic Orifices) are available for your applications up to 1000°F (540°C).

Critical Orifice -- P/N CO-STK1B25-XXXML:
Material Quartz | Pre-filter N/A | Max. Temp. 1000°F (540°C) *limited by the seal material (typ. o-rings).
Description: This Series of critical orifice ("sonic orifice" or "quartz orifice") is our smallest orifice type produced by ASI, having a 3mm OD!! This Series does not include a pre-filter.
Application: Used in special applications for precise flow metering and also in ex-situ dilution probe applications. *The Maximum Temperature is shown as "1000°F (540°C)" ... please know that the material of the connective fittings as selected by the customer will, in most cases, decrease the maximum temperature allowed!!
Basic Dimensions: 3mm OD x 1mm ID x 25mm Length.
Flow rate to be specified at time of order. Replace "XXX" in Part Number to specify nominal flow (e.g., CO-STK1B25-050ML = Nom. 50ml/min critical orifice). Special flow rates and lengths are available upon request.

Critical Orifice -- P/N CO-STK6-XXXML:

Description: This style of critical orifice ("sonic orifice" ... "quartz orifice") is the newest addition to our critical orifice product line. Developed for special applications and is about as simple as it gets.
Application: This Series was originally developed by ASI for integration into a gas analyzer for an OEM customer, for process monitoring applications. Having such a simple and bare-bones design allows for the end-user or integrator to install this orifice type into a very small space, and always allows the flexibility to use various types of in-line pre-filter materials and sizes as needed. This Series does not include a pre-filter, contact ASI for optional in-line filters or suggestions.
*The Maximum Temperature is shown as "1000°F (540°C)" ... please know that this is for the orifice material only. The material of the connective fittings as selected by the customer will, in most cases, decrease the maximum temperature allowed!!
Basic Dimensions: 44mm LONG x 6mm OD x 1.5mm WALL. Standard and Special Fittings sold separately.
